Depths of Mind

The images on this page are ray-traced images but not conventional ones. I have just rendered some close-ups which somehow resonate with something within me. They have not been designed, they are not intentional. They are visual explorations of the microcosm of a quite normal ray-traced image, something akin to the exploration of Mandelbrot fractals. Despite the seeming randomness, everything visible represents a transformed view of a simple, definite design, a view which is distorted in various ways after being repeatedly reflected and refracted.

There isn't much left of the original design (cf. my chess pieces, the indicated image), and most of the things you think you see in the images are just reflections from the depths of your mind, unconscious interpretations, projections.
